This FairTalk explores how ethical, values-led storytelling can help rebuild that trust, mobilise support, and unlock new funding by truly resonating with key audiences.

Riani Singgih
Riani is a Documentary Producer and Director with an interest in telling stories about identity and the idea of ‘home’. She has recently participated in IDFAcademy, Ji.hlava New Visions Forum, Doc Toolbox by EFM Berlinale, Docs by The Sea, IF/Then SEA Shorts by Tribeca and Yamagata Documentary Dojo. Her Documentary short films in the past have played in over 50 film festivals around the world including Big Sky Documentary Film Festival.
David Girling
David is an Associate Professor at the University of East Anglia. He has several roles including Postgraduate Admissions Director, Director of Employability, Study Abroad Coordinator and MSc Global Development Management Course Director. David is particularly interested in communication for development, humanitarian communication, participant-led storytelling, ethical storytelling, charity fundraising and social media for development.
Brahmantyo Putra
Brahmantyo Putra is a documentary filmmaker and impact producer. He co-founded Seven10 Media in Jakarta and Stories of Us to support visual artists in Indonesia. Recognizing the challenges within Indonesia's film lifecycle, Brahmantyo shifted his focus to impact producing and campaigns, seeking to connect stories with their intended audiences in meaningful ways.
Kate Moger
Kate joined Adeso and the Pledge for Change in 2023, having spent two decades working in large INGOs, living on the African continent since 2007. Kate is a feminist who believes that it is possible, and necessary, to transform international cooperation to be congruent with our stated values, and is excited about the changes happening to disrupt power dynamics and contribute to eco-systems based on principles of humility, equity, solidarity and self-determination.
Nadia Gianoli
Passionate about communication, human relations, and sustainable development, Nadia joined urbaMonde in February 2024. Drawing on her experience with international non-governmental organisations, she brings valuable expertise to the team. Nadia is responsible for developing and implementing the communication strategy.
